DIGITAL INTELLIGENCE
Our Digital Intelligence team conducts forensic investigations into foreign information manipulation across the Indo-Pacific. Working with a coalition of OSINT analysts, fact-checkers, and investigative journalists, we trace AI-generated influence operations, cross-platform coordination campaigns, and election-period interference back to the actors behind them. We develop our own frontier AI tools — purpose-built for this work — and put them in the hands of analysts across our network, so investigations that would once take months can be moved from signal to publication in days-to-weeks.

GLOBAL RESEARCH
Our Global Research team builds the infrastructure for measuring authoritarian influence at scale. The China Index tracks 99 indicators of PRC influence across 101 countries and nine domains. The CITW Network (China In The World) connects civil society researchers in those countries — through our annual Summit and Community Fund, we resource locally grounded China research.

SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT
Our Social Engagement team studies how propaganda and disinformation move through society — how they shape audiences, exploit vulnerabilities, and erode public conversation. Working with experts in cognitive psychology and user experience, we run audience surveys and focus groups to map how PRC information operations land with Taiwanese audiences, how TikTok users navigate platform-shaped narratives, and what makes communities susceptible to manipulation. From this evidence we design counter-disinformation toolkits and convene media and community initiatives to reduce polarization.
The China Index is Doublethink Lab’s flagship project to measure China’s influence globally, in order to provide a comparative perspective of China’s influence across countries. The China Index ranks countries and territories according to their level of influence, and allows users to compare the scores across countries and domains, to gauge the seriousness of the influence.

She has been involved in social movements for many years, focusing on issues such as Chinese infiltration, open government, public-private partnerships, and local governance. She has served as a co-convener of the Executive Yuan's Open Government National Action Plan, a civil society member of the Legislative Yuan's Open Parliament Action Plan, and a board member of several non-governmental organizations. She later transitioned into the commercial sector, seeking to implement social innovation in different forms.
